PRESEC GRADUATE WHO WORKED AS A FUEL ATTENDANT GRANTED SCHOLARSHIP BY GNPC

In a heartwarming turn of events, Benjamin Darko, a brilliant secondary school graduate, has been offered a full educational scholarship by the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC). This scholarship will allow Benjamin to pursue his dream of studying Chemical Engineering at the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST). Benjamin Darko's exceptional performance in the 2021 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) caught the attention of many.

Despite scoring 5A's and 3B's, Benjamin faced financial obstacles that hindered his desire to pursue a medical-science related course at the university level. Undeterred, he took on various menial jobs, including working as a fuel attendant at a GOIL station in Kumasi, to save for his education.

Recognizing Benjamin's brilliance and determination, the GNPC Foundation, through its Education & Training unit, offered him a full educational scholarship. The scholarship aims to restore Benjamin's hopes and facilitate his successful admission to KNUST in the next enrolment window.
