KNUST: CLASH BETWEEN KATANGA AND UNITY HALL ( WITH VIDEOS AND PICTURES)

This incident occurred on August 18, when several students from Katanga (University Hall) decided to make a procession through the campus as part of their hall week celebration.

Most of them were seen wearing traditional warrior costumes. They made their procession from Katanga hall through to Africa hall. The Unity hall guys were not ready to allow them to use the route by their hall so they blocked them at Hall Seven.
Although security was beefed up before the situation, this could not prevent future leaders from engaging in violence. They began throwing stones at each other in front of Hall Seven and distorting the peace at the Republic hall market.

The Katanga boys managed to chase the Unity guys into their halls. For a moment there was a blackout in the Unity hall. People were anticipating a comeback but nothing happened.
A lot of damages were caused at Conti, the hall secretary's car and other vehicles were damaged. Although Unity hall ended its hall week a few days ago no such situation happened so why now?

Would this compel the University authorities to take out hall week celebrations from the academic calendar?
Below is a video of students stoning each other behind the Impact Building and in front of Africa hall.
