INSTITUTE OF DISTANCE LEARNING KNUST ADMISSIONS OPEN FOR 2023/2024 UNDERGRAD TOP-UP AGRIC & ENGINEERING PROGRAMMES

PROGRAMMES AVAILABLE:

The IDL offers a range of Undergraduate Top-Up Programmes, spanning various disciplines within Engineering and Agriculture. These programs, designed to accommodate the schedules of working professionals and individuals seeking to further their education, encompass:


1. BSc. Agricultural Engineering

2. BSc. Civil Engineering

3. BSc. Computer Engineering

4. BSc. Electrical and Electronic Engineering

5. BSc. Geomatic Engineering

6. BSc. Mechanical Engineering

7. BSc. Telecommunication Engineering

8. BSc. Petroleum Engineering (online only)

9. BSc. Chemical Engineering (online only)

10. BSc Agriculture

 

 Entry Requirements

Each programme comes with specific entry requirements tailored to ensure that students possess the foundational knowledge necessary for success. From HND qualifications to diploma certificates, the criteria are meticulously curated to facilitate an enriching learning environment.

Applicants with Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture or HND in Agriculture ARE NOT to buy this form (their forms will be sold later)

Application Process:

1.      Applicants should purchase an online application e-voucher from GCB Bank, ECOBANK or Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) and then APPLY ONLINE via https://admissions.knust.edu.gh

2.      Or dial on all networks short code *447*160# and follow the prompts

3.      Applicants should carefully follow the instructions on the e-voucher.

4.      Applicants must include in their application pack, Certified True Copies of their Certificates and Transcripts.

5.      Only results and documents provided by applicants at the time of submission of their applications shall be considered.

6.      TWO (2) COPIES OF THE COMPLETED ONLINE FORMS should be printed and posted to: The Registrar, Institute of Distance Learning, Casely-Hayford Building, KNUST-Kumasi, Ghana by Tuesday, 30th April, 2024.

7.      Teaching/Facilitation would be a blend of online and face-to-face sessions on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) at the proposed Centres mentioned above.


Teaching Methodology

In embracing the dynamics of modern education, the IDL adopts a blended approach to teaching and facilitation. Combining online resources with face-to-face sessions held on weekends, students benefit from a flexible learning model that accommodates diverse learning styles and commitments.


Deadline:

As the window for application draws to a close, aspiring students are urged to act swiftly, ensuring the submission of their completed online forms and supporting documents by Tuesday, 30th April, 2024. Addressed to the Registrar at the Institute of Distance Learning, the submission marks the first step towards realizing their educational aspirations.
