A KNUST final-year student, Clinton Yeboah, who also works as a journalist at Multimedia Group Limited, has earned recognition by being shortlisted for two International Sports Press Association Awards (AIPS).
Clinton, currently pursuing his undergraduate studies in Media and Communication at KNUST, has been acknowledged in the Young Reporters (Broadcasting) and Video Short feature categories for his compelling video piece titled "Abandoned Nyinahin project: monumental disappointment to youth in sports in Ghana."

His feature shed light on the neglected Nyinahin Sports Complex in the Atwima Mponua District, showcasing the untapped potential it holds for the local sporting community.

The AIPS Sport Media Awards stand as the pinnacle of achievement in sports journalism globally. Clinton's work stood out among 1,890 submissions from 141 countries, demonstrating remarkable quality, creativity, and diversity across various media platforms.
The AIPS Sport Media Awards, now in its sixth edition, serves as a platform to celebrate excellence in sports media, offering inspiration to journalists worldwide. The shortlisting process, determined by the AIPS Executive Committee, sets the stage for the upcoming announcement of winners on Friday, March 15, 2024.

This year's awards feature 600 submissions across 11 categories, encompassing video, audio, photography, and writing. The winners will be revealed later this year, marking another milestone in the prestigious legacy of the AIPS Sport Media Awards, which have awarded over 500,000 US Dollars in prize money since its inception in 2018.
