Guinness World Records has officially announced that Afua Asantewaa's endeavor to establish the record for the longest individual singing marathon was unsuccessful. In a tweet dated Friday, February 23, 2024, the official response expressed hope for another attempt in the future.
On December 24, Asantewaa initiated her mission to break the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon, captivating audiences for an impressive 126 hours and 52 minutes. Originally planned to end on December 27, she extended her continuous singing for five days after consultations with her team.

Despite positive commentaries and encouragement, Asantewaa's record attempt faced disqualification. Earlier in the month, she revealed paying $750 for a priority review, which was eventually refunded by Guinness World Records.
