OPOKU WARE SCHOOL AND PREMPEH COLLEGE; THE REASONS THEY ARE THE BEST IN THE NSMQ

 

The NSMQ is a national contest based on science and mathematics. This contest has gained popularity since its initiation in 1994. It has become more competitive and every secondary school wants to win this award. A school that wins it in a particular year can boast of being the best school in the whole of Ghana.

Although Presbyterian Boys (Presec Legon) leads with the most number of national trophies, Opoku Ware School and Prempeh College have really shown outstanding performances since the beginning of the competition. 

We are going to look at the reasons why Ashanti Region is the best performing region when it comes to this contest. Surprisingly, it's only two schools that have made Ashanti Region the best. The giants Prempeh College and Opoku Ware School.

These two schools are the pride of the Ashanti Region in the NSMQ. Prempeh College is the reigning National Champions with Opoku Ware School as the Ashanti Regional Champions. 

Will the National Trophy remain in Ashanti Region or Will it be taken away by the schools in the South?
