KNUST Sets December 10 for 2025/2026 Medical and Dental Entrance Exams

The School of Medical Sciences and the School of Dentistry have officially announced the schedule for the 2025/2026 entrance examination and interviews for admission into the BSc. Human Biology (Medicine) and BSc. Human Biology (Dentistry) programmes. The highly competitive assessment will take place on Wednesday, 10th December 2025, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at the Lecture Hall Complex within the Boadi Medical Enclave.

This year’s examination will feature 100 multiple-choice questions spanning Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Verbal/Quantitative Reasoning. The format is designed to assess applicants’ readiness for the rigorous nature of medical and dental training.

Eligible candidates include A-Level applicants with an aggregate of 08 or better, IB applicants, and WASSCE applicants who meet the required aggregates: 8 or better for Medicine and 12 or better for Dentistry. The aggregate is calculated using English, Integrated Science, Core Mathematics, and three elective subjects—Chemistry, Biology, and either Physics or Elective Mathematics.

Applicants are required to bring two HB pencils, two pens, an eraser, a scientific calculator, a national ID, and two passport-sized photographs to the exam center. Phones and wristwatches are strictly prohibited, and any breach will lead to automatic disqualification.

Interviews will follow the examination, and candidates are expected to dress formally and submit a completed Interview Application Form, which can be downloaded from the KNUST admissions portal.

The entrance examination fee is GHC 400.00, payable at designated GCB Bank branches under the specific programme accounts provided. Applicants must use their Application ID as the payment reference and present the pay-in slip on the exam day.

Accommodation is available at GUSSS Hostels (Brunei) for GHC 20.00 per bed per night.
