After a successful end of the 2022 WASSCE, 117 people have had their results withheld pending the conclusion of investigations into alleged cases of impersonation detected during the examination. The papers of candidates from 179 schools in certain subjects are being scrutinized for reported cases of collusion.
According to the West African Examination Council, the investigation will not last longer than thirty-one (31) working days, however, it is indicated that in some instances, it does not take long since WAEC has not specified any date for releasing the results.

According to sources, some withheld results of candidates are released one week after the conclusion of the investigation but in severe cases, it takes much longer.
When your results are withheld after an abnormal period, you may be called to WAEC's office in your region or Accra for a statement concerning the malpractice.
