HOW TO CHECK YOUR BECE RESULTS (ONLINE & OFFLINE)

It is a daunting task to check BECE 2023 results as there are several sites which provide these results. On a daily basis, there are literally thousands of candidates checking their results online.

In this article, we will look at the various ways to check BECE 2023 results online.

You can check your results in two (2) ways either online or offline using SMS. 


WAEC


1. THE SMS METHOD 

With this method, your results will be sent to you as a text message. Each subject with its grade. 

All you need is your index number and some amount of money in your mobile money wallet. 

Dial *800*055# and follow the instructions. Subscribers will then receive the results checker PIN/Text message of their results on their phones.

2. THE ONLINE METHOD.

               

1. Log on to WAEC ONLINE

2. Enter your index number.

3. Select the type of examination.

eg. WASSCE

4. Select your year. eg. 2023

5. Enter the serial number found on the voucher.

6. Enter the 12-digit PIN on your voucher.

7. Confirm your index number and PIN. This is to ensure that your examination information is correct. 

8. Click on Submit.

This may take a while to display your results.

You may choose to download it and keep it as a PDF or print it out.




1. 90-100 is graded as 1, GRADE A+ is known as HIGHEST

2. 80-89, the second category in this classification is graded as 2, GRADE A is known as HIGHER

3. 70-79, is grade 3, a B+ is known as a HIGH

4. 60 -69 is grade 4, and GRADE B is known as a HIGH AVERAGE

5. 55 – 60 is GRADE C+, classified as 5 is known as AVERAGE

6. 50-54 is GRADE C; number 6 in the grading system is known as a Low AVERAGE

7. 40-49 is considered as GRADE D+ and number 7 is known as Low

8. 35-39 is GRADE E which is number 8 is known as Lower

9. 0-34 GRADE F, characterized by 9 is known as Lowest


  1. The BECE Grades are calculated using the 6 best subjects from your BECE results.
  2. The 3 best core subjects (Maths, English, Integrated Science or Social) and your 3 best elective subjects, Maths and English are must among the core subjects. You can select from Science and Social for the calculation.
  3. Assuming you had the BECE Grades below are your BECE Grades then below is how to calculate your BECE Results:

How To Calculate BECE Grades

  1. To obtain your BECE Grades, you will take the first best core ( ie English, Mathematics, and Integrated Science) => 1+1+2 = 4
  2. Then Look through your Grades and select the 3 best elective subjects ( ie Info. & Comm. Tech, B.D.T, and Frech) => 1+2+2 = 5
  3. Then based on the BECE grades addition for English + Mathematics + Integrated Science + Info. & Comm. Tech + B.D.T, + French => 1+1+2+1+2+2 = 9
  4. Finally, your BECE Grades obtained based on the grades above is aggregate 9



NOTE: If you are buying your voucher from an external source be sure it is legit. Money is difficult to come by and scammers are rampant.
