HOW TO REPLACE YOUR MISSING KNUST STUDENT ID

The KNUST Student IDs are required for all enrolled students of KNUST. A student needs to show a Student ID when asked to do so by an official of the university for admittance to student events, library book checkout, check cashing, and for investigations within the Department of Security. The ID is a legal ID for transactions, identification and access control. Initial Student ID cards are free but when you lose one, you have you pay for a new one.

The Student ID has an individual's:

1. Full Name

2. Program of student

3. Student Number

4. Exam (Index ) Number

5. College to which the student belongs

6. Validity of ID card

Note:

Student Number is different from Exam Number. Student Number is generated to determine the number of applicants for a particular year. It comes along with your admission letter. Exam numbers are given when you receive your student ID cards.

The student ID is also requested by invigilators before one enters the exam hall. One may be denied entry without a card.

How To Replace A Missing Student ID Card

a. Visit the Quality Assurance and Planning Unit (QAPU) at the main administration (Right after the URO office)

b. Request for Student ID Replacement form. You then have to fill out the form. You will need your full name and reference number.

c. Make a payment of GH₵ 30.00 or GH₵ 50.00 at the cash office (Room 001) at the main administration and take your receipt.

d. Submit the receipt to the Quality Assurance Unit, where the form was taken.

Your card will be available after the submission of the receipt.
