The anticipation for the grand finale of the National Science and Math Quiz (NSMQ) has taken an unexpected turn, with Prempeh College, a prominent participant, resorting to the High Court in Accra to request an injunction on the upcoming event.
This legal action stems from a heated disagreement over an answer provided by a Prempeh College representative during the semi-final round of the NSMQ. While the school vehemently maintained the accuracy of their response, the quiz master's perspective differed.
Unsatisfied with the outcome, Prempeh College submitted a petition to Primetime Limited, the organizers of the NSMQ. Regrettably, the petition was dismissed, with the company expressing satisfaction with the rationale provided by the NSMQ consultant and quiz mistress for their decision to withhold points from Prempeh College for the contentious question.
