Choosing the right university program that connects with what you studied in high school can be a bit tricky. Looking at all the things you need for each program might not be simple. If you finished high school and want to study at KNUST or another university, there are a few steps you should follow before you can be sure you're a good fit for a program.
A lot of students usually pay attention only to the cutoff point, but there's more you should consider. Each high school subject matters. These are the subjects that the university programs want you to have studied. For example, if you studied General Arts, you might not be able to do every science-related program. It's the same the other way around for General Science students who want to do arts programs. The subjects you choose in high school are really important when you're trying to decide on a program.
I looked into things carefully and did some research to make a list of all the programs at KNUST. I matched them with the high school subjects they go with. This list should make it easier for you to pick your program. The cutoff points change every year, so I didn't put them here. You can find the requirements and cutoff points at the end of this post. If you want to know more about cutoff points, you can read about them in this POST. Below is a list of programs that are related to Business, Home Economics and General Agriculture. Some programmes have selected electives you must study before getting admitted for such a programme.
